The KinderSmile Foundation came through FPE’s doors March 8 to provide oral care education and dental screening to 12 children in our network.
Along with two students from Rutgers-Newark pre-dental program, dentist Dr. Bradshaw-Sydnak demonstrated how to properly brush teeth, gums, and tongue using Daniel the Dinosaur as her patient. Next she gave dental exams to all of the children and provided the results to their parents.
Irene Spates, one of the volunteers, explained that helping at KinderSmile “gives me a good experience with the children and an opportunity to give back to the community.”

FPE appreciates the good work of KinderSmile as it fulfills its goal of providing oral care and education to underserved communities.
