Over the years, many people have engaged with FPE, meeting and volunteering with our families, learning about homelessness, advocating for FPE, and organizing both community and individual fundraising. They have served meals, played with children in the shelter program, organized pajama drives, provided backpacks, Valentines, and birthday parties, worked with FPE for their Bar and Bat Mitzvah projects, and found many more ways to creatively demonstrate compassion, empathy, and activism. These Young Philanthropists energize our programs and reveal what it means to heal the world. We are honored to share some of their stories with you.
- A Valentine’s Day surprise for our FPE Children
A Valentine’s Day surprise for our FPE children arrived from Janet Christmann and the students at Winston Preparatory School in Whippany, NJ. The children were delighted to open gift bags filled with goodies and heart-felt wishes.
- South Mountain Elementary Donates Toiletries
The students and staff at South Mountain Elementary School in South Orange donated 40 decorated bags of toiletries for Project Homeless Connect Day. Our FPE families use all of these items, and we so appreciate this considerate project complete with the students’ artistic touch!
